You see things a little differently. So do we. We believe in discovering and developing the talent in each of us. Come see things a little differently with us.
At IKEA we’re guided by our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people.
Today we’re on a journey to transform our digital capabilities. That’s why we’re bringing our core business processes, people, data & technology together – all to enable IKEA to become an even better home furnishing retailer. To make that happen, we need people who embrace change, dare to question and want to make a difference. If that sounds like you, then join us! Together we can do great things.
We’re currently looking for a Communication Specialist who’s passionate about data and technology. Someone who’s excited to be part of this journey. A person who is driven to engage and inspire others across the IKEA value chain to be part of the journey as well.
Our new Communication Specialist will see data and technology as a natural part of the business. And they’ll constantly look for new ways to work across functions and organisations to make the IKEA vision a reality. Sound like you?

As a Communication Specialist, you’ll work with the communication team to plan, develop, implement and follow up communication activities that deliver to this assignment.
You’ll also be part of a larger network that works across functions to create informative, inspiring and engaging communication across Inter IKEA. Together you’ll contribute to build understanding of how data and technology enable business movements.
As Communication Specialist you’ll work together with the team to:

Contribute to a shared communication agenda and identify opportunities for alignment within a function, across units and across the IKEA network.
Secure execution of communication-related training activities.
As a person, you’re flexible. You enjoy working independently, but you also like to work in teams. You easily build trust and strong working relationships with people. You have high integrity, and you’re able to handle confidential and sensitive information in a responsible way.
As a communicator, you have the capability to work with complex problems and translate into communication with IKEA tone of voice. You value transparency. To make change happen, you know it’s important to engage people in processes as well as goals. You’re driven to help people understand difficult or technical topics without over-simplifying. Yet you also constantly look for new, more simple ways to communicate with and engage people.

At IKEA, we do things a little different. We think, differently. Act, differently. And work differently as well. We like to break things. Like rules. And then make things. Like music-playing lamps. And beds disguised as sofas. Even plantballs that help us look after our planet. It’s all part of our vision - to create a better everyday life for the many. And it’s been keeping our co-workers going for over 75 years. By 2030, we hope to help millions more look forward to going home. Maybe you can help us.
Creating long term success for IKEA, together (Business Transformation) We want to become an even more affordable, sustainable and accessible home furnishing retailer in an omni-channel reality. We bring business and data & technology together to improve how we work and meet customers, and enable us to focus on creating value. So we can continuously improve and scale IKEA, together with our partners and the many people.
IKEA Shared Data & Technology builds up, delivers, serves and supports shared data and technology for the IKEA value chain. Together we build a digital foundation to enable our core business partners and franchisees to work more efficiently and create a rewarding customer experience in an omnichannel world.
At IKEA we believe that we’re better when we’re physically together for collaboration, dialogues and conversations. We believe in the power of human interactions; the informal chats, the energy, belonging and creativity generated by people being in the same place. Our approach is that we spend most of our time in the IKEA workplace and with flexibility to work from home when relevant.
Another thing fuelling our success is our values-based culture. While we are unique individuals with endless differences, something we share is our commitment to lead by example, work together, find better ways and to get things done. We believe in life-long learning, where we all play a part in helping each other (and our business) grow.
